AAC has developed through the regional conferences organised by its participating societies.

Establishment

AAC is founded
AAC was established as a regional platform for the national acoustical societies of ASEAN. The exact founding date is being confirmed with the founders and will be published once verified.

2023

1st ASEAN International Acoustics Conference
Held online on 9 May 2023 under the theme International Noise Awareness, with participation from the societies of Indonesia, Malaysia, Singapore and Thailand.

2024

2nd ASEAN International Acoustics Conference
Organised with AAVI on 2 and 3 December 2024, combining a technical workshop with parallel technical sessions.

2026

Governance renewal
The participating societies are consulting on a renewed, society-led governance model with rotating national responsibility. Details will be published once agreed.
