The ASEAN Acoustics Commission brings together national acoustical societies to advance regional cooperation in acoustics, noise, vibration, education, research and professional exchange.
What AAC is
Cooperation between national societies
AAC is a cooperation platform for recognised national acoustical societies in ASEAN. It supports activities that benefit from regional coordination while respecting the independence and responsibilities of each national society.
Member societies
Four national societies
Each participating society remains fully independent. AAC coordinates only the work the societies agree to undertake together.

AIAC 2026: abstract deadline extended to 23 October
SVAM has extended the abstract submission deadline for the 3rd ASEAN International Acoustics Conference to 23 October 2026, and has issued a new registration form.
SVAM names AAC as co-organiser of AIAC 2026
The Society of Vibration and Acoustics Malaysia now presents AIAC 2026 as organised jointly with the ASEAN Acoustics Commission, and links to aac.asia from its conference page.
AAC opens a LinkedIn page
The ASEAN Acoustics Commission now has a LinkedIn page for news from the four member societies, AAC events and regional developments in acoustics, noise and vibration.

3rd ASEAN International Acoustics Conference 2026

The third conference in the AAC series invites academics, researchers, engineers, industry professionals and students to submit original work in acoustics, dynamics, vibration and related fields. It is a platform to share knowledge, present recent developments and build collaborations addressing sustainable solutions across the region.

How AAC has developed
- Establishment
Founded by the acoustical societies of ASEAN, with Dr Woon Siong Gan as founding president.
- 2023
1st ASEAN International Acoustics Conference, held online.
- 2024
2nd ASEAN International Acoustics Conference, organised with AAVI.
- 2026
Renewal of AAC as a society-led regional initiative, with all four societies participating.
- December 2026
3rd ASEAN International Acoustics Conference, hosted by SVAM.
